In this post we will showcase some really awesome posters inspired from Marvel Super Heroes, I always enjoy how people can interpret the symbols of Comic Characters and Marko Manev took that to another level with a lot of Marvel Characters. His stripped down, distressed movie posters put the focus back on the core visuals and symbols of Marvel’s characters. Manev does a nice job of suggesting not only a character’s symbol, but often their power as well. Sure, anyone can make a cool poster using Photoshop, but Marko does it his own way. He even includes the creases in the paper to make the experience of looking at it even better.
The following designs represent the concept of minimalism. Minimalist is art characterized by the use of simple or primary forms or structures, which in this case are memorable superheroe symbols. There has been a huge increase lately in minimalism. For some reason 2011 has stated off strongly with the minimal style design coming back into the scene. The trend was never dead, but I feel like it has been revived again.
Thanks to the success of the Spider-Man and X-Men film franchises, and more recently, the Captain America movie, you don’t need to be a comic book geek to appreciate the beauty of these minimalist Marvel posters.
The posters have a nice folded and worn look to them, as if they once proudly symbolized support for their namesake on some imaginary street corner. What I particularly like about these is the way they are done. Very cool work and Captain America being one of the more imposing looking posters, I would mind having this up on my wall. We hope you will enjoy this great collection!

The Captain America one seems to fit into the minimalist theme the easiest because it’s been applied so many times before to things like t-shirts, motorcycles, etc. in the same manner. I thought the Cyclops one was pretty cool, but overall, they all rock!
